Born in Chernivtsi in 1987, Oksana Drachkovska is an illustrator from Ukraine recently based in Barcelona after living Lviv and Warsaw between other cities.
After graduating in the National Academy of Arts in Lviv as a painter, he decided to focus herself in the world of illustration.
Most of all, she likes to work with books that have a poetic mood and play with metaform.
In 2016 she was awarded with the scholarship programs Gaude Polonia (Poland) and SAIA (Slovakia).
In her career she cooperates with many publishing houses, magazines, and also creates commercial illustrations for companies around the world. In 2020 the book «The Jumpless Bunny and His Brave Mother" won the prize of best Literature for children from 6 to 8 in Lviv book’s fair. In 2021 ,2022 ,2023 she was Finalist Bologna Book Fair illustration competition.
The biggest source of inspiration for Oksana is nature, landscapes and travels. She likes to experiment with different techniques and methods to create books, stories and her own invented worlds.
The work of the illustrator greatly changed Oksana's life, because it taught her to be more attentive to details and to look at the world more through her inner world
