Perhaps Ukrainians themselves would rather negotiate with Russia than pay for freedom with their lives every day. But there is a war here, and for so many years, as long as it continues, we have long since become convinced that while we are talking, people continue to die. Every day, the Russian side continues to prove the inappropriateness of negotiations by its actions. And the proof of this is the death of innocent children and ordinary city dwellers.
